Tutorial 1 - Applying Ontologies to Support Knowledge Management.

Renata Guizzardi.

In the past ten years, organizations have recognized the focus on Knowledge Management (KM) to be essential for maintaining their competitiveness and sometimes, even to survive in today's market. Tutorial 2a y 2b- Engineering the Evaluation Approach to fit different Web Project/Organization Needs.

Luis Olsina.

Measurement, evaluation, analysis and recommendation are support processes to primary web engineering processes; also they give support to deal with information needs at different project or organizational levels. In addition, quality is one out of four main dependent variables for managing web projects. For each engineered project, and independently of the development/maintenance lifecycle adopted, levels of quality for its entities and attributes should be agreed, specified, measured and evaluated for analyzing and improving them.

Navigating Your Quality Journey.

Authors: William R. Nichols, Tim A. Chick and Gene E. Miluk.

Watts Humphrey once said, "if you don't know where you are, a map won't help." This statement describes the frustrating situation in which you know where you would like to be, but you don't know how to get there. This is the circumstance many individuals, teams, projects, and organizations face: they know they need better quality but don't know how toget there. This tutorial will take a deeper look in to the stages of quality improvement using practices from the Team Software Process as examples. The Team Software Process, (TSP) is comprehensive, measurement driven, and proven methodology thas dramatically improved software quality capabilities.
